Firefly Friends℠ offers educational programs for empowering young children to shine. In addition to being the creator of Firefly Friends, I am also a published writer, photographer, certified and insured yoga instructor (YogaKids and RYT-200), wife, and mother of two. While I hold B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees, I have learned my greatest lessons thus far through the ongoing process of being a parent. My daughter (age 10) and son (age 7) are my daily reminders of the genuine need for each of us to shine our unique lights in order to make the world a better and brighter place.

I have been involved in education for the last twenty-seven years, in a variety of subjects, levels, and locations. I have taught in public schools, parochial schools, major American universities, and private language institutes in Europe. I created Firefly Friends℠ back in 2017 as a nurturing and innovative approach for helping little ones connect with their inner light. My goals are to teach mindfulness, instill confidence, and inspire wonder through songs, stories, and crafts that are heart-centered and Earth-conscious.  Since then I have expanded my curriculum and have also begun offering children’s yoga.
